WHAT’S HAPPENING AT DUNESKE ?
The answer is, a whole lot.  Gym Challenges are starting in June, including specially designed programmes to have ladies bikini fit for wowing on the beach.  Also Match Fitness for anyone involved in any kind of team sport.  The staff has worked hard and long to create the ultimate in higher level programmes.  And then there is the Member of the Month, to recognise whose who have worked that little bit harder.

There is all sorts of outdoor entertainment, too, with a Soccer League in May/June;  a Soccer Camp & Blitz in July and Tag Rugby League in June/July.  This will run over three weekends and everyone is welcome to get involved in this.  You do not need to know anything about the sport to get involved – men, women, boys and girls are all invited.

The Easter Activity Camp was such a phenomenal success that Activity Mornings will be run right through the month of August on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10am to 1pm for four weeks.  Lots of fun and loads of surprises.

Over the weekend of 10th and 11th June, there will be a Duneske Activity Festival with something for all the family:  entertainment, exhibitions of martial arts; many other sports plus relaxation classes.  There will also be crazy soccer leagues, field competitions and bouncy fun for the kiddies.  Also music, craic and a mid-summer Bar-B-Q to finish.

Committee memebers and contractors met this afternoon to sign the contract to commence building of the new Childcare Facility at the Duneske Leisure Centre.

Official Opening Day Thursday 1st December 2005

The Minister, John O'Donoghue, opened the Duneske Sports & Leisure Complex last Thursday, 1st December, in front of a capacity crowd.  All those present was amazed at the state of the art facilities that are now provided in Cahir. This opening was the culmination of five years of hard work by the three community groups concerned, and even longer when one goes back to the first germ of an idea. The Lazy Bean now has a second café at Duneske and provided superb finger-food for everyone.
