CALENDAR FOR CRUMLIN
Patsy Cunningham has sent me the following information;
Hi all. At long last my calendar for 2010 for Crumlin Children’s Hospital is finished, and going to print next week. It should be on sale the start of November for €10. I'm hoping to have a launch night in Cahir, details later. Major thanks to New Age Photography in Cahir for the work, time and effort that was put into the calendar, it was unbelievable. In my opinion it's amazing and beautiful. I'm printing 3000 copies and all money raised goes directly to the hospital to help sick children. So don't buy a calendar till you see mine. Thanks to all the models and children who took part in this venture.

Thanks Patsy and good luck with the Calendar.

CAHIR CAMOGIE CLUB NOTES
The winning ways of our U12 team eventually came to an end last Saturday at the county camogie grounds in The Ragg. It was the final of the U12 A League and our opponents were Burges. This was a great game of camogie and we were very unlucky not to come out victorious but when the team plays to the best of their ability, there is nothing to be ashamed of. And indeed Cahir gave of their all in this encounter. We opened the score with a superb goal from a free which was taken with precession and accuracy by the multi talented Ashling Moloney. She has to be one of the players of the future to look out for and we know we are blessed to have her on our panel. Positioned at centre back you are likely to find her at any part of the back line, working into mid field and bringing the sliothar into the forward line.
Our next score came from a point from play by Roisin Howard. Now Roisin's prowess has become known far and wide within the county so much so that the opposition had not one but two players following her every movement around the pitch. Even so she still out foxed and frustrated them on many occasions scoring two lovely points from play. Aoife Corcoran also had a great influence on the game with her speed and tenacity a great factor in her play. Katie Farrell at mid field worked tirelessly, while Roisin O Donnell took a lovely score from play in the second half. Keely Halpin our goalie brought off some lovely saves and her puckouts were reaching far into the center of the field. Carl Casey along with her back line of Siobhan Lonergan and Kirsty Arbuckle were battling hard against a strong full forward line while Grainne Quirke and Roisin Costigan kept their markers well out in the half back line. Eadaionn O Gorman was unlucky on numerous occasions not to get her full strength behind the sliothar in the full forward position while Aoife Collins and Jessica West have shown great improvement over the last few games.
The youngest player on the field Eileen Flannery is showing great promise for the future while the introduced Dervla Buckley had a powerful shot at the goal which just went wide of the target. Just losing the battle by one point, our soldiers came off the field weary and exhausted after a tremendous tussle with Burges. As always behind every good team there is a great manager - Mary Howard along with Jane O Gorman, Martin Halpin, Anthony Corcoran, Marie Casey and Michael Lonergan can take a bow at having achieved such success with this young team. Well done to all concerned.
Panel: K Halpin, S Lonergan, C Casey, K Arbuckle, G Quirke, A Moloney, R Costigan, A Corcoran, K Farrell, E Flannery, R Howard, R O Donnell, J West, E O Gorman, A Collins, L Casey, D Buckley, E O Donnell, S Burke, J Coffey, A Keating, N Costello, R McCarthy.
